Why the alphabet first
Turkish is written exactly as it is said. One letter, one sound, every time. There is no “ough”, no silent e and nothing to memorise. Once a child knows the 29 letters they can read any Turkish word on the page — including words they have never met and do not yet understand. That is why this pack starts there instead of with vocabulary.
Written for the parent who does not speak Turkish
Most alphabet packs assume you already know how the letters sound. This one does not. Every letter has its Turkish name written out, and a sound note in ordinary English. The guide also names the four letters English speakers find genuinely hard, and explains why. There is a two-page table you can keep beside you while you work, and the spelling rules written out in full.

- Parents’ guide — how to use the pack without turning it into a test, plus a full table of every letter: its name, what it sounds like in plain English, an example word and its translation.
- The alphabet, one page per letter — big upper and lower case, the letter’s name to say out loud, four ruled rows (two to trace, two to write alone), then a picture, the example word with its first letter marked, and the word to trace underneath.
