Every off-the-shelf template is built for the average version of your problem. Yours has two or three things in it that the average version does not — and those are exactly why you are still keeping a second sheet on the side. This is not a template with your name typed into it. It is a file built around your numbers.
What you get
- An .xlsx workbook, or a Google Sheets file, with your example data already filled in so you can see how every column behaves before you type anything.
- A written Start Here guide as a PDF: what each tab does, the order to fill it in, every assumption, and where the numbers go wrong.
- Yellow cells with blue text are yours to type in. Shaded cells calculate themselves. Red means something worth looking at.
- Dropdowns where a typo would break a total, and conditional formatting where a number matters.
- No macros, so there is nothing to enable and nothing to break on someone else’s computer.
- One round of real changes after you have used it for a week — not a bug fix, a change. No extra charge and no time limit.
How it works
You answer five short questions at checkout: what it is for, what you would type into it, what you want out of it, roughly how much of it, and Excel or Google Sheets. “Tracking jobs for my mobile dog grooming round” is enough detail to start. If I need one thing clarified I ask through Etsy messages, usually about how you want a single number defined. Most orders need no question at all. The file arrives within 48 hours.

What it is not
It is a spreadsheet, not an app and not a database. If you need several people editing at once with permissions and an audit trail, you need software rather than me. It will not connect to your bank, your shop or your marketplace — you type the rows or paste an export, which is also why it keeps working offline and forever. And it is not accounting, tax or investment advice: I build the arithmetic you ask for and write the assumptions down, but judging the result is still you or your accountant.
